New meeting facility in city for members of the IoD

A new "drop-in-and-work" centre in the heart of Norwich is to open in December for Institute of Directors members, thanks to a new partnership with City College Norwich.

The new facility will allow members of the institute to work and convene small meetings in a designated "director's room" each day at the National Skills Academy for Financial Services in St Andrew's - and mirrors facilities available to members in London and other UK cities.

The room will be open during normal opening hours and will be wi-fi enabled.

Members will also be able to book private meeting rooms at preferential rates and use the 'pay-and-play' fixed PC web-access facility.

IoD Norfolk chairman Nick Farrow said: "This facility is a real bonus for members in Norfolk and will put Norwich on the map alongside all the other major cities which have similar premises available to members.

"The quality of the working environment, the technology and the atmosphere will provide members with a facility which will be the envy of other branches around the country and add another benefit to their membership."
