The Transport Forum seeks to:
- raise transportation issues which affect the strategic economic development of Norfolk
- improve transport infrastructure in line with the Strategic Priorities of the Shaping Norfolk's Future initiative
- promote Norfolk’s transport links in order to encourage economic development.
The group is working towards the overall Shaping Norfolk's Future vision for Norfolk in 2010 which sees the County having good communications with the rest of the country and Europe via:
- dual carriageway road links to the motorway network
- improved east-west rail links
- an outer harbour in Great Yarmouth
- a growing regional airport in Norwich
